UTM Autoshow 2011 Part 2

Proton Wira Aeroback with full Evo III front body parts conversion. The rear trunk installed with Evo VIII replica spoiler. There is a name for the Wira converted to Lancer Evolution, which is Wiralution. (Wira + Evolution)

Another Wira with Evo bodykit conversion. This Wira Sedan equipped with projector head lamp, Evo III front bumper, Evo V bonnet, roof scoop, wheel arches and EVo III spoiler. In order to get more attention in an autoshow, car body was placed with itasha decal.

The Spider Man Wira, which equipped with Wira SE front bumper + customized lip and diffuser, Evo VII spoiler and large intercooler. The original engine has retired and a Mitsubishi engine with turbo was hired.

UTM Autoshow 2011 Part 1

Autoshow can be consider as a automobile culture in Malaysia. In different location of Malaysia, there are a lot of autoshow events held frequently. Actually what means by autoshow? In Malaysia, autoshow can be defined as the car exterior and interior modification competition. Sometime autoshow is not a competition but just a car modification showoff event.

There was an autoshow held at University Technology Malaysia JB in conjunction with the UTM 47th convocation on Sept 24, 2011. You may wondering what is the relation between the autoshow and convocation? Car modification also a kind of art and technology, hence there was an autoshow event held in conjunction with the UTM convocation since few years ago. Talking too much, let watch the pictures of modded car.

Wow, this Waja is full of Naruto decals, sure the owner is a Naruto fan. Besides the decal, this Waja equipped with customized bodykit and turbo. Just know that a Mitsubishi engine inside, but not sure what model of it.

Another Proton Waja will the Wangan Midnight Club decal, I assumed the owner is a racing game lover. The owner does not exchange the original front bumper, he has install the lip and diffuser for the bumper. The identity of Waja is retained but it still looks aggressive. Good job.

Another modified Myvi with VIP style interior, I am regret why I din't take the picture of interior. However, more pictures of the autoshow will be posted soon, kindly wait for the part 2.

BMW X6 M

The BMW X6 is a luxury SUV with all wheel drive layout manufactured by German car maker BMW. BMW X6 combine the shape of a sport coupe with a the attributes of an SUV, it looks like a giant sport coupe. For me, the X6 is the pretties SUV in the world, and also one of my dream cars.

Inside the picture is a BMW X6 M, it is the first xDrive all wheel drive vehicle from BMW with the M badge. The BMW X6 M can accelerate from static to 100 km/h only in 5 seconds. Not only the performance has been improved, it also looks more sporty and aggressive with the original bodykit comes with the M badge.

Need for Speed Proton Persona

Need for Speed is a famous racing game series that everybody know. Several Need for Speed games contains the police chasing features such as Most Wanted, Undercover, Hot Pursuit and the latest The Run. The police car inside the games maybe is the dream car of some gamer.

Inside the pictures is a Proton Persona modified as the police car inside the game. The customized front bumper make it looks like a RX-8. All of the doors have been modified as the scissor doors.

With customized size skirts, roof scoop, Evo X spoiler, customized rear bumper and customized tail light, it has become the only one Persona in the world.

After installed with the police siren light and Sheriff logo sticker, it looks exactly like car police car that come out from the Need for Speed game, but, It will be better if painted in black and white.

VIP Style 2nd Generation Vios

The Toyota Vios is a 4-doors subcompact sedan developed for the South East Asia, China, and Taiwan markets. There are 2 generation of vios, the 1st generation was in production since 2003 until 2007, the 2nd generation Vios (also called as new Vios) was in production since 2007.

Nowadays in Malaysia, the new Toyota Vios is one of the popular choices for teenagers who want to buy a new car due to the smart appearance and fuel saver capability, you will notice that most of the drivers of a new Vios are teenagers.

Inside the picture is a new Toyota Vios with VIP Style modification, it looks smarter and prettier if compare to the original.

VIP Style Cefiro A32

VIP Style modification refers to the modification of luxury car to make it more fashionable and more luxurious. VIP Style are typically large, expensive, luxury sedans, though automotive enthusiasts use other cars such as minivans and K cars. VIP Style modification now are getting more popular in bodykit modification.

Cefiro A32 is one of the luxury sedan produced by Nissan, a original Cefiro A32 may seen normal and nobody will notice it, but after the VIP Style bodykit modification, it looks more luxurious and become attractive.

Apart from the VIP Style bodykit, the fenders have been customized in order to equip the huge size offset rims. The adjustable suspension enable the car to be low down until it touch the surface of the road and hide some portion of the wheels.

Kembara Audio Car Extreme Edision

Why this car looks like an alien face? Can you recognize what car is this? can you believe this is a Perodua Kembara? Ya, this is a Perodua Kembara, which is a 4X4 based on Daihatsu Terios.

This Kembara underwent extreme bodykit modification until it totally looks like a different car. With the low down of car body and the extreme style of wide bodykit, the pattern of a 4X4 has 100% missing. Not only the bodykit, this Kembara equipped with very nice ICE system, unfortunately, I don't have the photo of the interior. If no mistake, which is one of the audio demo car of Hang Guan Accessories Kulai.

Silvia S15 and the Skyline R34 GT-T

After the individual photo of Skyline R34 GT-T and Silvia S15, let watch the group photo of these two high performance Japanese sport car.

Modified Silvia S15 and R34 GT-T (converted to GT-R Z-tune bodykit), which one you prefer? for me, I will choose both.

The Red Devil Silvia S15

Silvia S15 is one of the famous Japanese FR layout sport car manufactured by Nissan. Nissan Silvia S15 is popular drift car and it will appear in most of the drifting event due to its FR layout and high performance of engine.

Here is an modified Nissan Silvia S15 with full bodykit. Carbon fiber front lip and diffuser were equipped for aerodynamic purpose, carbon fiber hood and trunk will reduce the car weight, Voltex carbon fiber GT wing will stabilize the car during high speed.

Really a nice modded Silvia S15, don't know how much Ringgit the owner has spent for the bodykit?

Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T convert GT-R Z-tune

Talk about Skyline R34, the words 'GT-R', 'RB26' and '4WD' will automatically come in mind, but do you that Nissan not only produce the 4WD version Skyline R34, there are also FR version of Skyline R34? The FR version of R34 called R34 GT-T, it equipped with RB25DET not the RB26DETT.

Inside the pictures is a Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T converted to GT-R Z-tune (bodykit). The carbon fiber bonnet the reduce the weight of this heavy machine, the hole on the bonnet will release the heat from the engine. The huge carbon fiber GT wing not only stabilize the car during high speed, it also make the car looks more fierce and aggressive.

Honda Civic FD Mugen RR Bodykit

Most of the bodykit modification lover will convert their rides with the bodykit of highest performance models. Example, Lancer EX convert to Lancer Evo X, Skyline R34 GTT convert to GTR, Civic FD convert to Type R and Mugen RR.

Here is a Honda Civic with full Mugen RR bodykit spotted during an autoshow at IOI Mall Kulai, it looks very nice! If I own a Civic FD, I will equip this bodykit too.

Bigger Looks Better: Nissan Silvia S15 20" Rims

Rims play an important role in appearance of a car, and most of the people will have a perception that is the bigger rims look better.

The owner of this Silvia S15 have the same opinion, hence he decided to equip the 20" rims for his car. 20" rims will never fit to the car, it were too big for a S15, therefore, customization of the fender must be done before equip the rims. After the customization, the bigger and wider wheel arches are able too accommodate the 20" rims.

Besides the 20" rims and the customized fender/wheel arch, this Silvia S15 equipped with carbon fiber bonnet, customized diffuser, headlight eyelids, LED taillight, ducktail spoiler and others.

Next Top Models Proton Satria

The first generation Satria was a 3-doors hatchback manufactured by Malaysia car maker Proton based on the 1991 Mitsubishi Mirage. Production started in 1995 for the first generation and ended in 2005. The new generation or Satria called Satria Neo, it introduced in June 2006.

Here is a first generation Satria with customized bodykit, the huge size sport rims make it looks sporty. The floral sticker make the car looks not too dull and not too complex. I like the modification design of this Satria, how about you?

痛車 Itasha Wira

Itasha (痛車) is a Japanese term used to describe a car which was decorated with fictional characters of anime, manga, or video games. The decorations usually involve paint schemes and stickers.

The culture of Itasha was originated in Japan, and getting popular worldwide. Here is a Proton Wira Sedan with Itasha sticker. These pictures were taken on several months ago during a Autoshow at Expo Danga City Mall.

Beside the Itasha sticker, this Wira equipped with projector headlamp, customized front rear bumper and bonnet, scissor doors kit, huge size sport rims, Evolution roof fin, diffusers, GT wing, ICE system and others.

Honda Stream Autoshow Car

This is the first time I saw a compact MPV underwent such extreme bodykit modification. Perhaps the owner just wanna to be the only one that using a compact MPV as a autoshow car in a autoshow competition, or maybe the owner thinks that the bigger is better, so he decided to modify his Honda Stream as extreme as possible not only the bodykit but also the ICE system.

The widebody kit of this Honda Stream was built by AL Motorsport and the ICE system was equipped by Hang Guan, besides that, the full body was painted by airbrush. Don't know how many RM the owner has spent for all of this.

Thanks for the owner because he let us know that a compact MPV also can be a excellent autoshow car and make the autoshow event more attractive.

Customized Wira Evolution III

You may wondering why there are so many Evo 3 in Malaysia, but most of the Evo 3 you saw on the road are not the real Evo actually, they are Evo with proton blood (converted from Proton Wira). Since Proton Wira was built based on the basic of Lancer, so not a difficult job to convert a Wira to Evo 1,2 or 3 either bodykit or engine. There were some Wira that fully converted to Evo 3 includes the bodykit, engine and 4WD system.

Inside the picture is a Proton Wira Sedan converted to Lancer Evolution 3 (front body parts), original engine was retired and a turbo engine has hired, whether a 4G63 inside? I don't have the answer.
